Q. I programmed the analog output of my
UDM35 meter to retransmit as 4 to 20 mA the displayed pressure range
(0 to 18 bar). The parameters I set are Lo.A=4
and Hi.A=20 but the output signal is completely wrong. What is the
problem?
The parameters Lo.A and Hi.A represent the
Analog signal corresponding respectively with the Lo.d and Hi.d
displayed values. These parameters are set as a percentage of the
Analog output full scale value (20mA or 10 VDC according to the
TYPE selection). Therefore, to set 4 mA, the right value of Lo.A is
20 (20% of 20mA is 4 mA) while Hi.A must be 100 (100% is 20 mA). Note
that a reverse Analog output characteristic is possible by setting
Lo.A greater Hi.A.
