Variflex is a compact AC Drive that just fits perfectly with the majority of motor control applications. Variflex comes with loads of features and options that are usually only available on larger drives. The series comprises three frame sizes A, B and C up to 5 HP and covers mains supply voltages from 180V to 528V. Variflex is designed to provide the user with a flexible level of simplicity. The most popular functions are easy to select and perform - they are even listed on the front label for quick reference. Variflex is straight-forward to install and support. It is possible to save a drive's configuration on our innovative Smart Stick memory stick and then from this smart stick, transfer the set up to your other drives with just a push of a button. Standard features include dynamic braking, ModBus RTU, PID control, EMC filter to meet EN61800-3 and basic closed-loop and positioning control. The control interface consists of five digital inputs, one digital output, 4-20mA or 0-10V analogue inputs that allow PID control, a +10V reference, two relays, a 0-10V analogue output and a 24 volt back-up. The timer I/O module with real-time clock is ideal for simple, stand-alone task scheduling. Another custom memory stick module, Logic Stick provides PLC functionality. Other options include remote LED or LCD keypads with multi-langauge support. Plug-in Fieldbus accessories also exist for PROFIBUS-DP, CANbus, CANopen, DeviceNet, INTERBUS and ETHERNET which covers Modbus TCP/IP, Ethernet IP and HSE.
